Interview:

1:  A book that you recently read?
One book I just finished is called “The Power of the Other” by Dr. Henry Cloud. It talks about the effect that other people have on who you are and your behavior in every aspect of your life.
2: How long does it take you to write a book?
About 2 – 3 months. It all depends on the mood, to be honest.
3: What is your work schedule like when you’re writing?
I tend to keep both of them in different boats. It keeps me sorted that ways. Hence there is no disruption with my working and writing.
4. What are your interests other than writing?
I enjoy learning new things, keeping myself busy, travelling to exotic locations and picking up new hobbies along the way. I especially love anything to do with the arts, writing poetry as well as watching sitcoms. Whenever I get some free time, I love to draw and create new things. Another thing I am passionate about is cooking, But its been a while since I’ve stepped foot into the kitchen, but I’d get back at it soon.
5. What inspires you in life?
My life and the surrounding and stories around me. That’s my kick
6: Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?
I’m fascinated by the thought of a love that is unconditional and lasts a whole lifetime, in spite of the strange and sometimes horrid circumstances that life has in store for us.
7.  How did you feel when your very first novel got published?
People tend to say good things (when they say anything at all) about my novel, which gives me the energy to keep on trucking. So far, I’ve had a really positive response to my book, with people emailing to say how much they have enjoyed it. It’s lovely when people say they can’t wait for my next book, but it also puts the pressure on. I feel like saying ‘don’t get too excited…’ Since the publication of Inside the Heart of Hope the response from my readers has been completely overwhelming. Thousands of emails from all over the world, thanking me for writing the book, sending their love, support, and best wishes, and asking when my next book is due out. Some of the emails I have received have been very personal where readers had been moved to share their own stories and were for my eyes only. Without exception, every single email (and letter) has been positive; I have been very touched.
8: Your next Novel is releasing soon! tell us something about it.
It is a story about relentless optimism, Flying Without Wings dives deeply into the unconditional sort of love that survives on hope and belief, in spite of all the odds and uncertainty lurking in the future. In it, Karan, our protagonist, finds unconditional love in a sea of heartbreak in the most unlikely of places– online! He meets Milli, a hard-working girl from a lower-class family fraught with problems. They fall into true love before even seeing each other’s faces, and find the sort of devotion to each other that withstands even the most difficult days of their lives.
9. The story in the novel is connected to your real life too?
The story deviates from my personal life in some ways, and in others, it tells a story that I’ve lived and that is close to my own heart. One of the things I’m really excited about exploring in romance novels is the notion of intimacy.
 10. What is the main thing you want readers to take away from your book?
Is to regale the tales of living with joy and finding immense happiness in the small things of life and the people around us.
11. What has been one of your most rewarding experiences as an author?
I guess, question 7 has answered this one for itself.
12:  A Message for all Aspiring writers.
Any idea, thought or determination to do something big will take you to a phase where the only sky is the limit. Never think that you can’t perform. Believe in Almighty and your own self, and the rest shall be taken care off. Don’t set low goals. Set objectives that will stretch you, that will lift you up and make you better. Having determination is what counts in this life. Love what you’ve created, and believe that you’re an author with great ideas who are capable of executing them. Believe in what you’re saying and believe that there’s a reader out there who needs to hear it. You also have to do the work. Novels are titanic undertakings and require everyday devotion.  Discipline yourself and dedicate yourself to the process of creation.
