Right from the cute cover of the book Venuka.goyal weaves a beautiful tale of love and relationship.

It’s a story of Ronit and Neeti who got married in awkward situations. In the loveless marriage, they both were in, they decided to go on a road trip. Will this road trip change the equation? Will their bond bloom?

It’s a story of love, family values and responsibilities. Narrated from Neeti and Ronit’s point of view, with an altering plot between past and present, it’s truly an interesting story.

How we never make efforts to know the person, how we make assumptions and how we are afraid to be our true self with people around us. Neeti and Ronit’s life was such. While Ronit was pressured by his family, Neeti wanted to start a new life and wanted to work.

On the road trip, they truly discovered each other with time. With a blend of various themes like love, family, loss, siblings bond, dreams, the author shares about family values, family pressure on kids, parents’ expectations and many things that we could relate to.

With crisp and engaging writing style, Venuka.goyal takes us to the life of Neeti, Ronit and their families. I liked how the story proceeded, how they expressed their feelings. Everything was just perfect.

It’s a bit slow-paced story. At times I felt it was a bit dragged but then it was fun reading about their Bond. It has some strong characters too. I loved Ronit’s personality the most.

The story is a bit predictable and I liked how it proceeded, especially the climax. I loved that. Their conversations, the revelations snd feelings of course.

Overall it’s a light, fun and quick read that you will enjoy.

Summary

Neeti and Ronit ended up having to move to the city of Indore in central India as tragedies struck their respective families. 

​​When Neeti got married to Ronit, all she wanted was to get away from her mentally unstable mother and get into a household that allowed her the freedom to work as a school teacher and the freedom to drive a car. In return, if she had to take care of her in-laws and manage the household, she was okay with that. 

When Ronit got married to Neeti, he just wanted to get a daughter-in-law for his parents. His father had refused to undergo the bypass surgery that the doctor had recommended unless Ronit got married and Neeti came along at the right time. Having tried his hand at love and having failed at converting his previous year-long relationship into a love-marriage, he was not convinced that a woman could be both the wife that he wanted and the daughter-in-law that his family insisted on.

Will Neeti and Ronit continue to live in a loveless marriage, taking it simply as a responsibility? Or will love sneak up on them on a road-trip to Ranthambore?
