I want to read at least one book every month in a regional language. Right from the cover and title, I was mesmerized by the book and I took a lil longer to read the book than usual because I wanted to cherish this book.

Reading a Hindi book has its own feel, its connection and in this book, you will be able to relate to the strong ladies who chose themselves, who chose to break the barrier, to stop when things are going wrong, to bring a change and to never give up.

Chhod Akela Phir Jao by Urmirumi_ is a collection of short stories on the lives of women who struggled with her own self and the people around her. Urmi takes us to the life of Priyanka, Radhika, Meera, Pooja, Kruti, Poonam and Nidhi where they encountered various situations in life and how they handled them.

Be it unrequited love or corporate politics, family issues and relationships, one could relate to their stories. These stories are practical ones, something that we all face in our lives. These women encourage us to bring the change.

Beautifully narrated with lots of twists and a gripping writing style, Urmi Rathod shares unspoken stories, that happen in our lives. I loved the way she crafted the story, with a clear and engaging description.

The bond Kruti shared with Yamini, the smile on Meera’s face when she said, ‘Jab akele hi karna hai to apne hisaab se karenge’, the promise Pooja fulfilled for her love, each story has a message to convey.

The characters are well developed by the author. One could relate to them and their situations. The conversations between the characters were so natural. I loved how the author kept it light and subtle with a strong message.

The stories are refreshing and powerful, inspiring and encouraging, and filled with love and hope. Reading a Hindi book after a long time with such brilliant stories truly made my day.

It’s a quick, light and interesting read that you must not skip if you love reading Hindi books.
