•We are all broken, that’s how the light gets in.•
•Timing is Everything.•

Education and Abilities will take you everywhere. This is something we have always heard and this book is one such book. Equations by Shivani Sibal published by Harpercollins India Is a story of Ambition, abilities, and scores to settle. It’s a journey of Aahan and Rajesh.

It’s a book that shows reality, the caste differences and the ability to achieve and fulfill your dreams. Shivani Sibal’s Equations is Interesting and Entertaining. From sharing the history to the changing realities of modern society, Equations is a surprising read. It’s not just about Aahan and Rajesh, it’s about their families and their journey’s. A beautiful, read with layers of dreams and love.

Vidhya Thakkar

Aahan Sikand, the only son and heir of the Sikand family and Rajesh, the Son of the Family’s driver who lives in the staff quarter have been brought up under the care of the same woman, in the same house. From being playmates to almost strangers, how their life changes as they grew up.

It’s the story of their families and their growth as a person. Well, I liked how the events were taking place adding spice to the story. It’s a complete Bollywood movie with lots of drama that you are going to witness.

With an intriguing plot and descriptive narration, the author captures the reader’s attention. The stories of the Sikand family, the high profile parties and gossips, the struggles Rajesh’s parents face, Aahan and Rajesh’s journey, and a lot more are wonderfully described by the author.

It’s a smooth paced story with layers of politics, social change, family bonds, love, hard work, pride, greed and struggle. The surprising twists with each chapter make this book more interesting.

Not to forget the strong and well-developed characters that one could relate to. I liked Rajesh and Sana’s character the most. His determination to change his life and give a better life to his parents, the situations he has been through impressed me. Not to forget Laxman’s character who secured all the secrets of the family and being Loyal to the family. I felt pity for Aahan and somewhat liked his character.

There’s a lot more about the book. From describing the lives of each character, their perspective to going against the odds to make things better, the author wonderfully described it all.

The Parallel story of Rajesh and Aahan, how they both grew in a different environment in the same house and how their lives took a turn. From Aahan’s love story to his Dad’s story, the events are going to surprise you. I liked the way the puzzle was solved with every chapter, the way events took place.

The difference between the upper class and lower class, the politics at home as well as around, the author keeps the readers entertained throughout. At some places, I felt sad for characters like Aahan’s Mother, Sana, Laxman and of course Rajesh.

Equations is an amazing journey of families who grew with time in different situations. With a glimpse of situations in the 90s and the present, it’s a complete Bollywood story with layers of power, politics, and of course love.

It’s an interesting book!
