Interview:

Tell us about the idea behind the book?

If even one person is impacted positively through my book, I will be successful.

The basic idea behind the book was to create a legacy of my own, to be immortal through my words and be remembered in this world as someone who contributed to this life. To achieve this, books are the best way. It gives us an unbiased space to express ourselves and contribute to make lives better.

  • How much time did it take in the process of writing?

Drafting my manuscript did not take much time as I have been writing these poems from last 10 years, but what took times was formatting, combining English and Hindi poems together which a tough task was and choosing the right book cover. I still have failed to do it properly like a professional as self publishing is tough for a novice like me. Seeking professional help is better for beginners.

  • What did the process of writing this book teach you?

Patience, perseverance, determination and how beautiful my thoughts could be if directed towards right emotions.

  • What inspired you to write this book?

Failures. My failures and hardships inspired me write this book.

  • 5 books one must read in a lifetime?

Nagas by Amish, Sita by Amish, A thousand splendid suns by Khaled Hosseini, Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami, Art of War by Sun Tzu.

  • A book that had an impact on you, which helped you in writing this book?

Gulzar Sahab and Javed Akhtar’s poetry collections.

  • Tell us about your publishing journey in 5 words?

Encouragement, difficult, research, hopeful, learning.

  • Tell us about your plans? Planning a new book?

Yes, I’m thinking of coming up with new books but in the category of non-fiction novels and photo books.

  •  What is a literary success to you?

Literary success to me would be earning the Nobel Prize for literature though it’s a farfetched dream but not unrealizable and be invited as a speaker in Jaipur Literature Festival.

  •  A message for all readers?

Dear Readers, please read my poetry compilation. It has been put together with a lot of thought process like the title DALISAY means pure and undiluted, the white book cover is a display of undiluted color, flowers present the purity that they contain and bi-lingual poems are for people who wish to read Hindi and English poems at one place and also for who are fond of either language. Hence your appreciation or criticism both matters to me. Happy Reading !!
