•Reflect.
You. Me.
All in transit.
Half. Full.
A fragile
Life.•

Nature has a way of telling us stories about various lives. About trials and turbulences.

I took my own Lil time to process with this book. After I finished reading, there were so many things that came to my mind and the lines above are forever on my mind.

Reading Mapping love by Ashwinyiyertiwari published by Rupa_publications has its own experience. A philosophical, strong and emotional read is what I would say for this book.

It’s a journey of Oorja who came back to India in search of her missing father after she lost her mother. With this country be the same with her after she lost her support? Her mother?

Her search leads her to her grandfather who lived in a forest where she met Anang whom she falls in love with. Do they have a future together? Will their past let them be together? There’s a long Journey Oorja has to witness and untangle the secrets!.

I liked the way the story proceeded with lots of emotional drama. I will be starting with Oorja’s strong and fearless character. I loved her personality. The way she handled the situations and the moments of grief, the way she wanted to discover the truth was something I liked the most. Even after going through a lot, she did not give up and searched for her father.

It’s a story with a good plot. A bit more philosophical though. The way the author expressed Oorja’s thoughts and her state of mind is commendable. The poems and lines in between add to the beautiful journey.

The way the author beautifully describes the relationship with her mother and not so good relationship with her father. Her equation with Anang and her grandfather was another thing that I liked the most.

With descriptive and crisp narrative, discover various themes like love, loss, grief, happiness, family and relationships. It’s a bit slow-paced read with too much description that at times irked me.
