52 Pips: Poetry from Time’s Deck by Rekha.bhagtani published by Notion.press is a collection of 52 beautiful poems that you are going to love.

Sometimes poems take us back down the memory lane, sometimes, it makes us realize the things we have taken for granted, sometimes it fills us with hope, with a feeling that things will be fine soon, and this is one such book.

From poems like Pursuit of Happiness, Love, Life – a struggle, Childhood, Mother, what if..?, The Promises, Karma and many others, The author beautifully expressed the emotions.

I liked how there’s a picture and a few lessons before each poem. Some proses were good. You will find various themes like Love, optimism, heartbreak, Depression and many other.

The writing style of the author is simple and pleasant. I would have loved it more if there was no random capitalization of words. Some poems were amazing, but some were a bit lengthy.

I appreciate how the author captures the reader’s attention with her words. Poems like The Promises, What if? , Karma, Afterlife, The night of the beautiful moon are my favourite one’s. Not to forget the beautiful pictures that the author added.

Some poems like He sees all, and she departed, depression, the promises, Thankless and Vain makes us think about the choices we made, about how we look at the situation.

Overall, It’s a simple, light and beautiful read that you can enjoy if you like reading poetry. Not to forget, it has a beautiful cover.
