Review:

‘ I feel how small our battles are in front of nature and yet we keep whining, complaining and cribbing. We never relax and just be. It’s just one life. There’s so much to do apart from just bother ourselves with minuscule and unimportant things.’

Novoneel Chakraborty has always been my go-to author. His books are always too good to take me from the reading slump. This book is no less than an exciting journey of two girls who with time, understand life and love, who with time understand how every rejection has taken them to a better place.

Remember Me as Yours by Novoneel Chakraborty is a story of Nityami and Falak who have their own set of problems to handle. While Nityami searches for love and revenge from everyone who has broken her heart, Falak strives for education while living in a family that never cared about her. The two of them have their ways of dealing with their losses and meet in a cab, with the same destination, where they meet Vedant Kaushal- the love of their lives.

The story unfolds in a fast-paced manner and beautifully explores the themes of love, loss, and hope. Through the perspectives of Nityami and Falak, the author paints a vivid picture of their struggles and aspirations, making their characters deeply relatable. Nityami’s unwavering resolve and Falak’s determined attitude truly made me connect with them on a personal level. Their journey allowed me to understand the complexities of life and the nuances of love.

In Nityami’s part, we see how female friendship can go wrong at times, how sometimes your own family won’t understand you and how sometimes you have to give a chance to love. How society defines us with our actions without knowing our perspective. Her relationship with her friends and her parents tells us a lot about typical Indian society. While on Falak’s journey, we see the struggles within a family that made her rebel. We see how she fought for everything she wanted in life and how tough her life is. Here we see female friendship as a blessing. The bond she shares with Razia will make you fall in love with her.

How will the tables turn? See how both of them settle their scores with love in their own ways.

With an exciting plot and gripping narrative, Novoneel weaves an outstanding tale with layers of love and friendship. I loved the way he adds the little twists making it fun for the readers. Candid and entertaining, with his captivating writing, Novoneel shows readers sometimes how love can be simple as well as cruel. I enjoyed the later part of the story where they both meet, of course, the twists kept me going.
