Beyond the Box is an impact-driven literary venture spearheaded by Anupama Dalmia that believes learning is fun when you make it fun. Their mission is to help children and budding writers unbox the joy of writing and develop love for the written word. Their vision is to empower children by encouraging them to own their thoughts and expression. They constantly strive to not just nurture the creative writing skills of kids but to give them the stimulus to become more perceptive, observant and thoughtful individuals. With their all-embracing approach and unconventional methodologies and initiatives, they help kids to look beyond any boxes and focus within.
BTB Wordsmiths of the Year Awards is the annual event of BTB which was started in 2020 to celebrate the lovely community of writers. The 3rd edition of the LIVE event sponsored by Little Surprises took place on 11th December virtually amidst pomp and show with a 12k+ viewership and 1.1k engagement. What made the event unique this year was that it was co-hosted by three lovely and talented kids – Reya Jain, Srikar Chitta and Paulomi Babre. Prolific and renowned author Tanushree Podder was the Chief Guest at the event and she spoke about her books Spooky Stories and More Spooky Stories. Awards were given across twenty categories and there were scintillating musical and dance performances given by the little champs Vihaan Khandelwal, Akshat Arora and Sakshi Shirode. Rohini J from Story Pond captivated the audience with an engaging storytelling session and Ananya Gulati left them in splits with her interesting stand-up act. Author Aashisha Chakroborty and Child Author Srishti Chawla who also sponsored the event prizes were present for discussing their latest books. Apart from the aforementioned brands and authors, Puffin Books, Kidliomag, Explore Kids World, Savie Karnel, Vidhya Thakkar, Geeta Nair and Geetika Bakshi were also among the key sponsors and partners of the event.
