Happy Navratri!!!

Festive season is around and a beautiful decor add that jazz to the festive vibes, isn’t it?

Today I am going to feature two amazing accounts that I discovered. Once again coming to decor, these two accounts are perfect solutions when it comes to decorating our perfect corner.

Looking for art painting, ceramic works or Macrame work? or or A decorative wooden tray ? Have you thought about mixed media and texture art? or small frames that will add a glam to your corner?

Featuring Houseathouse & Crumple.paper. Let’s hear it from the founders.

Hey! My name is Pranjali. I make single exclusive home decor art pieces uniquely designed for one’s home. This is specially for those who like to bring emotions and their personality alive through their house. So far I have made macrame runner, wall hangings, canvas art, wooden trays, pen stand, ceramic ware and wall plates. I will keep adding new things in my portfolio as I go further.

My career story has been no different from most people up till now. I did civil engineering, MBA and worked for 3 years in Adani Realty. While doing everything that satisfies society, I had a vision of doing something unconventional; a business that can unleash my creative potential. I quit my job this year in March and started working in my art studio at home to pursue my passion for arts. I stay in outskirts of Raipur. A lot of my inspiration comes from the scenery that surrounds me and mostly from the parallel universe in my head. What I create is an outcome of pure passion and hours of failure & learnings. My Instagram is full of random creative things I keep on trying starting from doodling, painting, trying new DIYs, home decor tips and more.

I have been journaling since I was in school and I have always found my solace in making art, or DIYing stuff, basically keeping myself involved. Mixed media is something that I due to the course time found my interest in and diverted all my attention into it. So this is something that comes to me naturally and I cannot really say what made me do it. It’s just that whenever I get time I do it, and the lockdown suited better to give it a kickstart again.

The idea behind my vintage series celebrates emotions and old school ways of communication. All my vintage collection is made from postcards and letters that belong to my grandparents and are really close to me. And since my medium is mixed media and texture work, I have given my works that touch by adding an earthy palette.

My vision is nothing very fancy or bigger. I just hope and wish for maybe someday, I would be able to start and run a small homegrown art business, maybe on a beach side or somewhere in the hills, where I can also run my art cafe haha.
