While plants are therapy and talking to them reduces stress, Being a plant mommy is not easy, it’s like taking care of babies, and nurturing them throughout. I still remember when I became a plant mom, and never understood much about plants, Ekta’s Youtube channel helped me.

I gave my plants their first Hair cut after learning from Ekta’s channel. That’s how important for Ektachaudhary11 is for my plants and in my journey of being a plant mommy!

When this book came, I knew I had to read it because it not only tells about plants but a lot more. From repotting a plant to water levels to some DIYs and identifying what suits for your plant. Each plant is different and has different needs, in Garden Up you will learn about what a particular plant needs and the conditions for good growth. She tells about the common issues that a plant faces and some fun facts about the plants.

It’s a well-detailed and well-researched book, especially for beginners who want to understand plants. Written in simple language and intriguing writing style Ekta shares her love for plants and her gardening journey. Right from plant basics and nutrients to the types of sand and pots to how can we protect plants from extreme cold and rain, she covers it all well.

After all, it’s about what we need but what our plants need.

I enjoyed reading the fun facts the most along with the symptoms that tell the signs of a plant not doing well. She also shares about growing vegetables at home which Is the most interesting part and I might try it soon.

Overall, it’s the perfect guide with basics for all the plant lovers and the one who wants to start their gardening journey.
