At times the story was a bit slow-paced with too many details which made it a bit tedious. Coming to the Climax, it was my favourite! I loved reading the last few chapters the most.

I felt good, Reading a YA book After a long time. Right from the cover and the title, I was excited to read this book.

@meera_j_pillai ) Meera Pillai’s Maya and the sword of Gringak is a blend of Fantasy, Mystery, adventures, love, Friendship and Relationships. It’s a story of Maya, a sixteen-year-old teenager who is waiting for her big day, her Birthday. Little did she know, her life is going to change forever.

With a series of events, she witnessed on a particular day, from a stranger giving a warning to going on her dream date with her Crush Dhruv, to meeting her best friend Anaya, to her parents asking her to start packing for an unplanned trip.

Trying to solve the Puzzle, Maya discovers her Role on Earth, discovers who she is and about a task that destiny has decided for her.

With a gripping and descriptive narrative, the author takes us to the world of Maya and the secrets from her past. I liked how the events were taking place and how Maya was trying to solve the mystery. How she entered the world of fantasy and how she tried to accept that life.

With layers of Love, family bonds, mystery and relationships, the author added lots of drama and thrill to the story. I loved reading Maya’s journey to discover the treasure and the way she took Lil clues.

The writing style of the author is simple and engaging, with a smooth flow of words. I liked how everyone around Maya supported her and made her feel better about her journey. Well well, the author beautifully described the curious mind of a teenager and the emotions they go through.

The author, with her words, makes the readers curious. The characters are well-developed by the author. Each of them has a strong personality and shapes the story well. I of course liked Maya’s character, but I felt Dhruvest’s (Dhruv’s) character was the best that changed the story and will also change your perspective.

At times the story was a bit slow-paced with too many details which made it a bit tedious. Coming to the Climax, it was my favourite! I loved reading the last few chapters the most.

Overall, it’s a good story.
