I have read many books by Aabhavatsa and I love how she never fails to astound readers with her stories. While her stories are simple and one could relate to them, she balances them well with emotions and a practical approach. Her books are light and quick which cheers readers up.

I finished reading Monsoon Musing stories by her and I loved the way she expressed each story. From the intricacies of a newly married bride to the adventures of Africa to Attending the wedding of Shiva and Meenakshi at Madhuri, the stories are riveting and refreshing.

It’s a collection of 7 beautiful stories that talks about how unpredictable life is and how we are all playing roles in each other’s journey. Each story is different and fabulous in its own way. While adventures of Africa will bring a smile on your face, Meera and her husband, who was in the hospital witnessed how harsh someone can be, Sandhya a newly-married bride understood the family politics and was ready to step out of the family, her supportive husband and her determination was something you’ll love here. While the author takes you to Madhurai where Aparna’s life takes a turn, the Kitty Party and Megha’s journey is inspiring and worth reading. Other stories make readers realize about hope and new beginnings.

Each story has a vivid beautiful backdrop that one will love. These stories are empowering and delightful. With a crisp descriptive narrative and interesting plot, the stories have open endings leaving readers thinking about what can happen next.

I craved for some stories to not end while some were okayish with a slow pace. But overall, it’s a good read that you can count on.

My favourite stories are Bua, Kitty Party, Madhurai, and Kafue. The simplicity in her writing style makes readers love her work. One could relate to the situations and emotions of each character and the way they took charge of their life.

I loved Megha, Sandhya and Radha’s characters from the stories. Loved the way they handled the situations.
Overall it’s a captivating, breezy read that you’ll like.
