Red River Rising by @writer_husna is a story of Love, loss, friendship and of River, which became a prominent part of our protagonist’s lives. Husna takes readers to the lives of Krishnan, Radha and Lakshmi.

The plot of the story is riveting and to the point. As the story develops, First Lakshmi’s then Radha’s it gets interesting with the events taking place. Lakshmi feels united with her love as she goes towards the gate of the raging river, while others evacuated the area. Radha is rescued by a stranger and taken to a makeshift camp, where she bonds with Mani who later helps her search for her missing husband. While she searches for her husband, she finds a mass burial in the middle of the forest and tries to solve the mystery behind it.

The author skillfully narrates the story with vivid descriptions, making it more intense with each chapter. The events are structured in a way that piques readers’ curiosity. Loved the way Husna uncovers the mystery, with layers of secrets which is no less than a rollercoaster ride. The story is thought-provoking, with unexpected twists and turns that add to the drama. The rich, captivating writing style of the author keeps the readers invested in.

The characters are well-developed and strong, with new characters introduced throughout the story, each with their own unique story that makes the plot more intriguing.

Lakshmi who is fascinated and is in love with the Periyar river finds it difficult to continue her life in the city as she misses her home and the river. After a traumatic incident in childhood, Lakshmi’s life once again took a turn when Krishnan leaves the village and Lakshmi knew the reason. Will she find him again? She would wait to see him again while her life in the city is messed up. What happens next? Will she meet him? Will she come back to where she belongs? To her love, Periyar river?

Krishnan who is actively working for tribals falls in love with Radha until one fine day he is separated from her. Radha, an activist is keen on finding her husband who has been missing for more than a month.
