Summary

It’s a smooth paced story with shifting plots. From the second part, the story picks up well. I was curious to know about Meghna’s journal entries. What made her who she was today.

I had been reading Retrace Love by Maliniamaladoss
Published by Notion.press.
It’s a journey of two best friends Tina and Meghna who got separated by a small misunderstanding.

After 10 years destiny brings them together when Tina receives a call from the hospital, that Meghna met with an accident, and is in critical condition. Why she received a call after 10 long years? Where is Meghna’s family? The love of her life Neil? Will she be able to face her again after 10 long years?.

It’s a journey of Love, Loss, relationships and friendship. How a small misunderstanding, a small tinge of doubt separates the loved one’s.

The story starts with the journey of Megha, followed by Tina. The plot shifts from past to present giving readers the gist about their lives and their Love.

Honestly, I liked reading the present story the most about Meghna and Tina. What happens to Meghna and How Tima Handles the situations. I did not like reading about their past and how they met their lovers. I wish the author had worked a bit more on the plot, especially their past.

Keeping the bits of the past aside, the present story excited me. Tina found a journal that Meghna kept for her to solve the missing puzzle of Meghna’s life.

With her, it’s Kartik( her husband) who is just a call away, Neil (Meghna’s husband) who she doesn’t know where he is and Ray( their friend) and her ex. As she flips Meghna’s journal she encounters certain events that changed their life and she is all set to meet Ray and Neil.

Seems filmy right? It’s a Bollywood story full of drama.

The simple narration and the crisp writing style of the author with many twists will make the readers curious. I liked how the author created the personality of each character. Be it Kartik or Ray or Neil, each one of them had a story to tell.

I liked Ray’s and Neil’s side of the story but I wanted to know more about Kartik’s point of view.

It’s a smooth paced story with shifting plots. From the second part, the story picks up well. I was curious to know about Meghna’s journal entries. What made her who she was today.
