The Drugged Heart by Varsha Keerthana is a collection of Poems, Muse and verses. It is divided into three parts-My Muse, Thorns of Her Love and Notes from The Heart.
First of all, I did not like the cover of the book. It’s too simple to match the attractive title. Each and every poem has it’s own depth keeping reader hooked throughout. The author used themes like pain, Love, heartbreak, self-love, Moving on and beautifully expressed each and every emotion.
There are some muse which will touch your heart. muse on self-love and moving on are my favourite. They have their unique charm. Bottled, Necessity, The Battle, Perfection, Constellation are some of my favourite poems.
The language used by the author is simple and crisp. The Writing style of the author is simple and flowing. One can relate to each and every verse. Each muse is engaging. The way the author expressed the journey of love, heartbreak and Moving on is amazing. The Blurb of the book is too Interesting.
Hence its a light read with varied emotions. A quick read too.
