Review:

I have read Saurav’s book earlier and have loved his work and this book is no less beautiful. A book that will teach you what love is, what fatherhood is and the long journey it takes to discover the truth.

The Winter song by Saurav Dutt is a Journey of John Prakash who is on a quest to discover the Truth, to fulfil a promise. It’s the story of Jimmy, Ashima and John Prakash.

John Prakash who lost his young son and his wife wants to fulfil his wife’s last wish and is on a Pilgrimage and the people he meets in this journey. I loved the plot of the story, it’s intriguing and full of mystery. There’s a depth in the author’s writing. The way he expressed the emotions, is commendable.

The shifting plot between the past and the present, with a beautiful backdrop of Himachal Pradesh, the author surprises the reader’s as the story proceeded. With the crisp and descriptive writing style of the author and a smooth flow of words, it’s a journey of Love, Loss, grief, friendship, mystery, adventure and expectations.

The well-developed and strong characters make this book more interesting. Each character had a story to tell, a mystery to solve. John’s bond with his Son, how the death of his wife changed something in him. I loved William’s and John’s part of the story the most.

It’s a bit heavy read with a depth of layers that you are going to discover. From the expectations, a parent has to fulfilling that unfinished promise, witness the story of John. A journey of self-discovery, a leap of faith and grief.

Recommended to all those who love reading Contemporary Romance.
