Comedy Couple is a ZEE5 Original film, starring Saqib Saleem, Shweta Basu Prasad, Pooja Bedi, and Aadar Malik. The series revolves around the lives of Zoya and Deep–a stand-up comedy duo and real-life lovers. They are a laugh-riot on stage with their sharp and witty take on a variety of issues like relationship problems while grappling with them off-stage.

Released on 21st Oct, I was interested in watching this movie right from the trailer. I really liked the trailer and Weekend is perfect to unwind with another interesting movie. The #JokinglyYours com-rom is a love story set against the backdrop of the stand-up comedy scene in Delhi, Gurgaon. It’s a rom-com film based in Gurgaon, set against the backdrop of the stand-up comedy scene in the city.
I liked the chemistry between Zoya and Deep. The sweet saga of love filled with differences and comedy. I loved how the story turned out to be. Right from the start, happy in relationship to shattered in a relationship, blended with comedy, I am totally impressed by performances by Saqib Saleem and Shweta Basu Prasad. They have that sweet vibe that one could easily connect to, with their chemistry.
Rajesh Tailang, playing Deep’s father role, while Zoya’s mother’s role is played by Pooja Bedi, an artist who likes to paint male nudes. Will they able to convince their parents for marriage? Or will there be happily ever after? I had many questions on my mind.
The overall storyline is good, filled with twists and fun. I liked all the gigs. Their happy love story takes turn when they are thrown out of their home because they are unmarried. The struggle for house hunting to Zoya’s suggestion on getting married, their comedy suffers because of their emotional mind state.
I liked Zoya’s Natural and witty character and fell in love with Deep’s charm. It’s a beautifully created story with lots of societal drama for a live-in relationship, comedy and lies in the pursuit of his passion.
It has shown the real mental state of youth. How they overcome their fears or tackle their fears I would say, how they make up for their mistakes and solve their conflicts. How they try to include laughter In the journey called life.
It shows about how they are trying to make others laugh, though they are unhappy within, how they try to work, take things further till the very end. It has controversies, the difference of opinions and love.
A light and interesting movie that you can definitely binge watch this weekend.
