It’s book 39 of 2023 and it’s a thought-provoking read.

@vidhi.mandot Vidhi Mandot’s You & Me versus society presents an interesting perspective on society’s flaws and how they impact one’s life.

Through her writing, Vidhi weaves together themes of mental health and social pressure, illustrating how societal pressure can impact one’s life exploring how things might have been different without the constraints of society, along with gender equality, societal pressure and expectations and the conflict between religion and humanity.

Vidhi’s writing style is raw and captivating, though her tone is harsh at times, conveying her frustration with society. She creates a free-flowing conversation with her readers, drawing them into her world and discussing incidents where things could have been different. She takes a practical and straightforward approach along with relatable and engaging examples.

She expresses her anger towards society, particularly regarding gender identity, where she shares how it’s not Women vs men but Human vs egomaniacs.

I liked the letter She l writes a letter to society, which adds a personal touch to the book. The poem at the end is a beautiful piece and is one of my favourites.

“You and Me Versus Society” is a compelling read that challenges readers to reflect on their own experiences with society. A more structured approach could have made the book more interesting and engaging.
