Interview

Q) Tell us about the idea behind the book?

– My book is a collection of short stories, each story different from the other from multiple genres and each with a twist in the end. I had always wanted to write a book and a corporate break lead me to pursue my dream.

Q) If you have to write any other genre, then this one, what that would be?

– It would most likely be from the mystery/thriller genre.

Q) How much time did it take in the process of writing?

– The whole book took about a year to be published, this includes the editing timelines as well.

Q) What did the process of writing this book teach you?

– As my book is a short story collection, each story was completion in itself but the whole process of conceptualizing, actually writing and getting the book ready has been extremely rewarding as I have was witnessed growth as an author with every story and that has helped my push my boundaries as well. Also that consistency helps, in every aspect of life.

Q) What inspired you to write this book?

– Everyday things, small details, human behaviour, everything small and big has been my inspiration to write this book.

Q) Which is your favourite part from the book?

– All the stories have a special place in my heart, especially as it’s my debut book.

Q) A book that had an impact on you, which helped you in writing this one?

– Rather than a single book I have been inspired by multiple books through different phases in my life which led me to write my own. Short stories by O’Henry, Guy De Maussaupant , Premchand, Jeffry Archer , Neil Gaiman , Arthur Conan Doyle etc.

Q) Tell us about your plans? Planning a new book?

– Most definitely, but a whole novel this time. Fingers crossed.

Q) How your life changed after the book was published?

– No drastic changes for sure, but love it when readers connect to me after reading my book. All feedback is welcome.

Q) What is a literary success for you?

– Still a long way to go.

Q) A message for all the readers.

– Thank you  for your love and those who have not read my book, please go and check out “How The Tables Have Turned!”
