I would say to love myself and trust myself a Lil bit more and my abilities a Lil bit more rather than listening to the chaos around me.

All of us go through emotions like Fear, insecurity, feeling anxious, lack of self-confidence and many other emotions in our teenage that makes a big impact on us.

Saania Saxena’s Teenage Chronicles is one such book that tells us about the emotions each teenager goes through. Well, the situations Saania shares are common and practical ones that each one of us faces at different points of life.

In Teenage Chronicles, Saania discusses various concepts of how curiosity, fears, love, friendship, anger, jealousy, happiness and taking action is different for each individual, especially a teenager. She shares about perspective, how two people have different reactions in a similar situation and how one can mould the negative trait into the positive one.

I liked the way she keeps it candid and light for the readers with apt quotes and relevant examples. Saania makes it interesting With illustrations that explain the concept well, and the quotes and inspiring lines that motivate the readers.

The writing style of the author is simple and interesting. One could relate to the situations she shares. One could relate to the characters she introduces and will make you think about similar situations.

I liked the way the book is designed with fun facts, illustrations, checklists and stories.

It’s a light, quick, easy and interesting read that teens can count on. Not only teens but adults too. Saania provides a fresh perspective that helps one improve.

It’s a fast-paced read with a crisp descriptive narrative. I agree with Saania on all the points except a few points where she discusses love in Teenage.

It’s an inspiring read with practical examples and approaches towards a situation. How one can make a difference in their lives with a change in their attitude.

Summary

Feelings, fears, friendships, insecurities, passions. All of us go through these intense emotional experiences, and the start of it all, without the shadow of a doubt, is teenagerhood. As we start to realize that we are our own person, many questions inevitably follow, as who we want that person to be, and how to get there. Saania Saxena, the sixteen-year-old author of Teenage Chronicles: My Journey of Self Discovery knows well what she writes about. With curiosity, a bright analytical mind, and the wise humility of someone who knows how much there is to learn from this world – regardless of the age one has reached – she narrates her first-hand life experiences and the consequent lessons she has elaborated and learned, sharing them with her readers. Philosophy and science are no longer intellectual and abstract concepts, but tools to better understand ourselves and ease our journey to self-discovery. A fresh, rich, and interesting work between narrative and essay, providing at the same time entertainment and suggestions to consider. A book recommended not only to teenagers but as well to adults that are still questioning themselves and in need of a fresh and original point of view to improve their self-perception. “Through thoughtful reflection and extensive research, Saania has assembled a roadmap that holistically ignites both emotion and humor while providing tools anyone can use while navigating the battlefield of life.” ―Brent Gleeson, former Navy SEAL, Best-selling Author of TakingPoint and Embrace the Suck “An uplifting memoir to help other teenagers along the slippery slope to adulthood.”―Jacquie Biggar, USA Today Best-selling Author of more than a dozen books
