My beautiful heaven thus fell apart,
From the melting ices, beyond the horizon;
As the woodcutter’s lost logs float apart,
I wonder who enraged the frozen lakes so brazen.

Thescenicverse Dr Manali Thakker’s Scenic verse is a collection of beautifully expressed poems around Nature and diverse themes like divinity, beauty, love, care, family and others.

What I loved most about each poem is the simplicity and the way the author expressed them. The poems are raw, honest and straight from the heart. The author pours down her love for nature in the form of these delightful poems and one can feel the same in her writing style.

Divided into four parts, the author talks about ethereal beauty where she talks about different scenarios happening around. I liked reading Tittle Tattle amongst them. The second part talks about divine charm where she talks about squirrel excited to meet Lord Rama, about Sita, Ganesha. I loved reading Lord’s envoy amongst them.

The other two talks about scenes from nature and the depths of my heart. Subtle silhouette, Roal little Simba, The Peacock & Rainbow are my favourite.

The pleasant writing style of the author along with beautiful illustrations makes this book more amazing. The poems are short, light, and relatable. Manali, with her words, takes readers to the world of mountains, dessert and around the nature. I liked the last part of the book the most. It talks about love, hope and unspoken emotions.

This book will definitely make it to the tea reading table book. A delightful read with amazing illustrations.

Summary

A blissful collection of soft poetry on themes of nature, friendhip, divinity, beauty and companionship with delightful illustrations & heart-warming coziness.

An apt read for both children and adults looking for a soothing time and a life long companion.
