While one of my books took me to Florida while the other took me to Gujarat. These days we find very few books with the setting of Gujarat and being my hometown I decided to pick this one. My book 126 of 2023.

A slightly brisker pace might have enhanced the overall reading experience. The author artfully weaves in humor and a touch of romance, making the book emotionally engaging. The matchmaking process and Aarohi’s interactions with potential suitors and her interaction with her best friends add a lighthearted yet realistic aspect to the narrative.

While the novel’s pacing keeps readers engaged, there are moments where the detailed descriptions and introspective musings slow down the narrative’s momentum. A slightly brisker pace could have heightened the overall reading experience, maintaining a balance between introspection and plot progression. However, one might yearn for more dramatic twists and turns to heighten the story’s tension. Additionally, the ending, while hinting at the possibility of a sequel, might leave some readers desiring a more conclusive wrap-up.

It’s an emotional journey that prompts readers to reflect on their own beliefs about friendship, love, family, and personal growth.  Through Aarohi’s journey, readers are reminded of the significance of embracing change, seeking personal fulfillment, and cherishing the bonds that shape our lives.
