What I admired most about you was that you never tried to change Kavya into someone she wasn’t. Instead, you gently helped her see what she had been overlooking all along – her own talent, her own strength, and even a city she had never truly given a chance. While she was busy celebrating everyone else’s achievements, you reminded her to acknowledge her own. Sometimes, believing in someone before they believe in themselves is the greatest gift we can give.
You also made me realise that kindness doesn’t always arrive with grand gestures. Sometimes, it lives in the quiet moments in shared conversations, patient encouragement, and simply being there when someone needs you the most. And then there was your own journey. Watching you quietly fight your feelings until the very end reminded me how often we all do the same. We hide behind humour, confidence, or silence because allowing ourselves to be vulnerable is never easy. Yet, despite everything you carried within yourself, you never stopped showing up for the people you cared about.
Thank you for reminding me that we should never reduce people to first impressions. Every person has a story the world doesn’t see, battles they don’t speak about, and dreams they’re still fighting for. You didn’t just change the way Kavya looked at Mumbai.
