Review:

355 Days – Pursuit of Freedom by Deeba Salim Irfan is a story of Aadesh and Maya. Aadesh who was blamed for a crime he never did. That’s when Nasha Singh came to his life. How will these 355 days change their lives?. Will Nasha win for Aadesh? Will Maya return? There’s a lot more.

It’s a smooth paced story with an interesting story-line. I liked how the author sequenced every event. The plot of the story is promising, filled with twists that make the reader curious. The narration of the story is good, but it can be better. It was on and off for me. There are places where the story was slow-paced, which made it a bit tedious.

I liked the second half of the story. This book has everything, the drama, the emotions, a mystery and chemistry too. I liked Nasha’s character the most. Her personality, when she’s working, the way she’s solving the mystery. I loved the spiritual conversations between her and Aadesh.

The author expressed the emotions of each character beautifully. How Aadesh life is in Jail. How he was and how he became. The transformation of thoughts, living with the unknown, facing a new challenge every day is portrayed in a great way.

The simple language and the gripping writing style of the author make this book interesting. It’s a good story, but the way it ended didn’t work for me. The climax could have been better. There were many unanswered questions on my mind at the end. Overall, It’s a light read with a mystery. Want to read a light crime thriller? Go for it.
