Summary

It’s a short, light and heartwarming read that you can count on. Ishita pens down stories that are refreshing, and emotional and show the reality of life. Some stories will make you happy while some will make you feel sad about the situations and the characters. I wish the stories were a bit longer, with more drama.

4.6

‘Life has its way of making you strong,
Embrace the righteous path, with each step you commit.
With awakened morals, you will never go wrong,
In times of turmoil, confide in a loved one’s spirit.’

Review:

Sometimes ordinary moments become extraordinary. The simple joys of life become precious, stepping out of your comfort zone may be tough but if it saves someone’s life then why not?

Sharing the simple joys and ordinary snippets from our daily lives, Ishita Tavadia in her book Tales of Tender Moments weaves the story of love, longing, happiness and joy. It’s a collection of 11 short stories which talk about how life and things can change quickly. All we can do is accept and appreciate the reality and the beauty of life.

Just like its title and cosy cover, each story makes us pause and reflect on the situations that we must have been in. This book is like a warm hug, bringing back a rush of memories and joy while being thankful for what we have. The stories are short, and beautifully written, making readers experience the gush of emotions. With a captivating writing style and gripping narrative, she adds mesmerizing poems at the end of every tale which makes it more relatable for the readers.

Combined with various themes, I found this book to be raw, honest and an emotional read. Loved the way she pens each story, blending it with drama and subtle twists. The situations here feel real and to the point and the candidness in her words makes these stories more engrossing.

Here she celebrates the relationships! Be it a father’s love or love for a pet, be it love for a partner or longing for their presence or celebrating friendships here she covers it all. She touches on tender topics questioning societal norms which is significant. Not to forget the poems that are profound and enchanting.

I enjoyed reading ‘Comforter’, ‘Life’, and ‘The Date Night’, ‘Sahebji Salam’ the most. There are stories of Hope, failing and getting up again, getting out of your comfort zone and others that you will enjoy.

Here as you read, you will experience various emotions. Some stories will make you happy while some will make you feel sad about the situations and the characters. I wish the stories were a bit longer, with more drama.
