Nishant Prakash’s falling in and out is a story of Neil, Waheed and Pakhi. Neil and Pakhi fall in love while there’s Waheed whose heart aches seeing them as he is in love with Pakhi. Being Neil’s best friend, he suppresses his feelings until one fine day Neil is aware of how he feels and makes a decision. A decision that changes the lives of three of them. While Neil had his plans, life had some other plans for him, little did he know, that he had to pay for the choices he made.
With an intense storyline and a gripping narrative, The plot of the story is interesting, filled with twists and lots of drama. The story begins well with friendship and love followed by Neil living in the alternate timelines which is an interesting concept the author introduces readers to. Nishant’s writing style is captivating and immersive, painting a vivid picture of how each of them feels making it an emotional roller coaster ride. With the themes of love, loss and friendship, the author shares about having an abusive parent, a harsh childhood, death and many other things. The author captures the delicate balance between friendship and romance, illustrating how quickly things can shift when secrets and suppressed feelings surface.
It’s a slow-paced, emotional rollercoaster ride making us realize we have to live with the choices we make. The characters are brilliantly developed, each of them having their journey and their own set of situations to deal which is interestingly portrayed by the author. From Neil to Waheed to Pakhi, feels real and relatable, complete with their flaws and strengths.
The author introduces readers to the alternate timelines that Neil lives in and the choices he makes which is a bit confusing but adds layers of complexity to the storyline. This emotional rollercoaster is punctuated with moments of joy, heartbreak, and reckoning, ensuring a gripping read from start to finish. With Each chapter, the story gets intense making it a journey worth remembering for the readers. I loved the climax of the book. It’s interesting and unfolds mind-blowingly.
