I enjoy reading regional books these days. I have come across various books in the last few months and each of them is special.

I came across this beautiful book by Agam Hans. Ilm-e-Hayaat is a collection of fabulous poems based on love, success, loss, heartbreak, depression and various other themes. Written in Hindi as well as in English(Hindi version)each poem has a story to tell, an experience to witness. The poems are in form of Urdu Shayaris. Yes, this book gives a different kind of reading experience each of them describing a story.

The poems have depth, a story of their own, that will make readers feel nostalgic, and make them relive the best moments of their life.

Shayaris have their own magic and Agam with his words truly spread the magic. One could relate to each of them so well.

llm-e-Hayaat means The knowledge of life and here Agam shares with readers the hues of life. You’ll find shayaris mostly based on heartbreak and loss here.

I liked how he added translation of certain words at the end of poems making it easier for the readers.

The simplicity in his writing style makes it more interesting, rejuvenating read. These poems are surely going to bring a smile on your face.

It’s a quick, light and a coffee table read that you can opt for, especially if you love reading shayaris.
