• It’s difficult to stay afloat amidst
This constant tug of war,
Nobody understands but people
Are quick to judge you from afar.•

As I always say, poems reflect our thoughts in few lines and I enjoyed reading one such book that reflects my thoughts.

We always read about love, relationships, self-love, chaos, feelings which actually reveals how we feel. How we feel scattered every time our heart breaks. Well, this is one such book. A beautiful collection of poems that depicts human emotions especially when we are hurt, when we feel helpless.

This book reminds us to fight back, to not give up and to keep moving. My Black Rose by author_deblina is a collection of beautiful poems that we could all relate to.

Divided into three parts, Wounded, Scarred, and Healing, the poems are extraordinary. As the author says, it’s a journey through shadows and light, Deblina with her words gives a light of hope to the readers. I liked how the poems are in a way from Dark, dense poems towards light and the poems that has hope.

With the simple and pleasant writing style and beautiful illustrations, this book will make you feel pause for a while, thinking about how far we have come fighting all the odds.

Each poem has a depth, will make you feel heavy, that emotion which one could all relate to. Poems like The Sunshine Ballon, One day, Beginning Again, Hideaway, They didn’t say, A fable called life are my favourite.

Overall, it’s an amazing read that you will love especially if you love reading poems. A book that gives hope, that makes us believe that there’s light at the end, all you need to do is keep moving.
