Review

As usual, poetry is something that I love reading the most. Poems make me feel better. They are like an escape for me, making it easier for me to express my thoughts. I still have all my unpublished poems treasured in my diary.

The Tunes of my pen by Amanpreet Singh
Published by Bookleafpublishing is a collection of 20 beautiful poems. The book starts with poems like Letter to myself which is one of my favourites from the book.

The author penned down poems on random topics like nature, love, self-love, Guru Nanak Dev Ji, poets and many others.

These poems are simple and up to the point. I loved reading all the poems under letter to myself. Poems like impure and I know will make you pause and think about the world we are living in. I liked how the author expressed so much with a few words in that poem. This particular poem will stay with me forever.

With the simplicity and depth in the author’s words and the crisp writing style of the author, it’s a book that will make you nostalgic, will make you smile as well as feel the pain.

The author beautifully expressed the emotions. Each poem has a message to convey, a story to tell. It’s a bliss to read poems like a Walk with myself, Nature’s love.

Some poems like too long while some are up to the point. Short, crisp and amazing.

Overall, it’s a simple, light and a delightful read that you will enjoy if you love reading poetry.
