Review:

The Warriors of Varshika by Kautilya is the story of the Prince of Varshika- Shaurya. Divided into 19 chapters, the book tells about the adventures of Prince Shaurya, powerful yet kind, who cannot escape his own Karma and realises that he has to ultimately choose between the two – love or power

The plot of the story is good, with some twists and turns. I liked the way the author sequenced each and every event. The narration of the story is simple. It could have been more gripping. It’s a slow paced story with a smooth flow.

I liked the character development done by the author. Each character had their own vital role to play. Various themes like loss, love, grief are used by the author to make it an interesting story. The author conveyed a beautiful message of Karma knows it all.

The language used by the author is simple and easy. It’s a light and quick read. I didn’t like the writing style of the author. The story was not that engaging as the author simply stated the scenes. I wish he could’ve added some more dialogues rather than simply writing the scene.

I liked the cover and the title of the book. The blurb could have been more interesting. Well, If you want to start reading historical fiction, do read this. A simple book.
