•there is a process and time for everything, and all good seeds will yield good fruits when the time is ripe. Not a single good action.

I love reading and knowing more about life and karma and Shrenik Shah’s Why only me? Is about finding our true purpose and the path we must take to complete it.

Shrenik sheds light on the concept of Karma, the essence of karma and how the universe always tries to connect with us in different ways. He explains these concepts with interesting and practical examples that will make us feel the pause and appreciate what we have. The example of the game of snakes and ladders, with the proverbs like as you sow, so shall you reap, he also shares practical life examples and stories of people. The peanuts are dear to the monkeys is my favourite one.

It’s a smooth-paced book that will make you pause and reflect on the questions he asked. I loved the chapter of the functioning of the mind and the art of living.

Summary

This book is a humble effort to add light to our life, to empower us to heal the root cause of our sufferings and find solutions from within. It is a gentle reminder about the true purpose of our journey on earth and the path we must take to complete it.

It is impossible to sow, bad action and reap something good in the long run. We cannot be happy when we make others suffer, there are no short-cuts to finding long term peace, truth will eventually triumph, no matter how painful an event is, some thing good will always emerge out of all that happens to us, even though we may only realize this much later.

Despite our positive attitude, sincere efforts and grand accomplishments, we can still remain dejected and disappointed with our lives. Sometimes life goes from bad to worse and we end up with a miserable life that we feel we do not deserve and ask: WHY ONLY ME? (Is it my fate to suffer, Why is God being so unfair?)
