•The universe has its own mysterious ways of communicating.•

Simmi_valecha Simmi Valecha in her book Being a married monk shared about her spiritual journey, her spiritual experience. In her journey, she shares about how one can heal, how the universe tests us and how we must learn to accept what the universe has in store for us.

Simmi’s words are inspiring and so are her experiences. The simplicity and honesty in her writing style make this book a beautiful experience.

She shares about her responsibilities, how she balanced home and how she evolved as a person while she attended workshops.

It’s a book with a remarkable experience I would say. A bit slow-paced but rich with experience. She covers various topics like awakening, love and healing, four states of awareness, eternal truths, divine code and many others. The notes, diagrams everything helps a lot making concepts easier to understand.

Being someone who loves reading about spirituality, this book is a blessing. There’s positivity throughout the journey and Simmi makes sure to explain every minute detail while she attended workshops. My favourite part is the love and healing part.

Overall, it’s a divine experience, reading this book. Simmi’s words are raw, honest and relatable.

Summary

Do we really need to transit to the Himalayas to experience Bliss? What if you’re married and living an exuberant life of an octopus, juggling through the multi-dimensional role of being a spouse, a parent, a professional and a homemaker? Is awakening a possibility ‘here’ and ‘now’? This book navigates into different dimensions of consciousness through mysticism, love and healing, where the author unapologetically discusses her own dark moments in life and how her experiences in transcendental states of awareness shifted her perspective towards reality altogether. This book might break the myth that ‘being a monk is a transworldly identity’ as has been normally understood. Rather, ‘being a monk is more about the connection with your Higher Self.’ It’s not about renunciation of materialism, comfort and relationships; it’s more about renunciation of anything and everything that is ‘not-love’.
