Every year, there are books we read… and then there are books that read us back.
2025 was a year of quiet transformations, lingering emotions, and stories that arrived exactly when they were needed. Some books wrapped me in comfort, some challenged my thinking, some entertained me after long days, and a few stayed long after the last page, echoing in my thoughts, conversations, and even my silences.
A year where books didn’t just entertain me they held space, asked uncomfortable questions, offered comfort on slow days, and reminded me why I keep returning to stories, again and again. Each book featured here earned its place by making me feel something, joy, empathy, nostalgia, hope, or even discomfort. Some made me underline passages obsessively, some left me staring at the ceiling once I finished, and some reminded me why I fell in love with reading in the first place.
This list isn’t about every book I read, or the most hyped titles alone. It’s about the ones that stayed. The stories I found myself thinking about days later, the characters that felt like companions, and the pages that quietly shaped my perspective. From tender literary fiction to gripping thrillers and heart-led contemporary reads, these books became part of my 2025 in ways I didn’t expect.
If you’re someone who reads to feel, to reflect, to escape, and sometimes to heal, this one’s for you. Here are the Books that made it to the list of Best Reads of 2025!
