Book 8 of 2023 is the story of Mohan K who penned down his journey sharing the setbacks he faced and how he managed to survive every time his ship sank.

All of us are successful losers – Losers because of the setbacks. Successful because we have overcome setbacks, loss and failures. This book is targeted at those who find typical self-help books – with preachy quotes and advice off-putting.

Be it his career, married life, childhood or the setbacks, how he sought help when needed and helped others too. Candidly narrated with a simple engaging writing style, one could very well relate to Mohan’s situation. I liked the way this book is structured. With key takeaways at the end of each chapter, what he shares is the reality of life. It’s a short read with 5 chapters but these 5 chapters are life-changing.

His practical and positive approach towards life and the way he handled situations are inspiring. The tragedies that happened in his life will give you goosebumps.

Right from the way this book started till the end, the author captures the reader’s attention. How a shift in perspective can make things and life easier, how life must go on, one must keep growing amidst the chaos, and how the right decision taken at the right moment can save many things.

Mohan’s journey is one such journey. Be it the right job or the right partner, everything taught him some important lessons for life. My favourite chapter is the last one to not bring personal s#it to work.
