With a blend of thrill, mystery and adventures, The vividly detailed descriptions have my heart. The shifting narratives made it a bit difficult to connect the dots if you skip even a small bit. It’s a heavy but brilliant read.

•never drink wine to finish it.•
Just like the abstractness of the dreams, continuous writing is recherché.

I finished this book yesterday evening and it’s a mind-blowing experience. Kashivology wonderfully weaves a story of Kashiv who decides to go on a holiday to a silent sleepy hamlet where he falls in love with an enigmatic woman there whom he calls Blishe. As he confesses his feelings to her, her unforgiving monologue makes him lose control over his thoughts and he sets her hut on fire.

Why did he do so? With the person, he fell in love with? That one incident impacts his life, what is he going to tell everyone? Will he spill the secret? There are diary entries in the book that leads us through smoke screens revealing the most intimate corners of Kashiv’s psyche making us question the stability of our existence and thoughts, making us question Kashiv’s intention and his journey.

As I said, this book is an experience altogether, and the Smokescreens are reflections with spiritual insights and mysticism. With an intriguing plot and crisp descriptive narrative, Vikas Goyal takes the readers to the life of Kashiv and the rollercoaster ride of emotions. The way he describes how Kashiv felt and the diary entries are just spell bounding. Read it slowly, and absorb the details, it has its own adventure.

The way he describes Kashiv’s form of love, and their conversations, will give you goosebumps and you will have many questions. How they both had different perspectives when it came to love. With each chapter, the story gets more intense and amazing.

The gripping, fascinating writing style of the author does the magic. One could dwell in Kashiv’s world and feel the magic of life, love and his thoughts.

~You have never fallen to know how important it is to be grounded, never soared in the sky to know what it is to be free. Love is free and unbound.

With a blend of thrill, mystery and adventures, The vividly detailed descriptions have my heart. The shifting narratives made it a bit difficult to connect the dots if you skip even a small bit. It’s a heavy but brilliant read.
