Review:

Lately, I’ve been enjoying light-hearted reads that brighten up my day. One such book I recently came across is Book 88 of 2023, which takes us on a delightful journey to the enchanting city of Udaipur, all on a bike.

There’s something incredibly satisfying about going on a bike ride with friends, don’t you think?

In his book, ‘The Ride to Rajasthan,’ Sarthak Chandra recounts his experiences of this exhilarating journey, filled with camaraderie and overcoming various challenges as he embark on an Independence Day ride from Pune to Rajasthan with his eight friends.

Sarthak Candidly narrates his experience, with every small detail which makes it more relatable. His captivating writing style instantly draws readers in, making them feel as though they are accompanying him and his group of friends on their bike ride. The descriptive narrative paints a vivid picture of their experiences, allowing readers to immerse themselves in the journey.

After all, where’s the fun if everything goes exactly as planned? The friends faced challenges despite their meticulous preparations, and it’s fascinating to see how they tackled each obstacle. One of the book’s strengths lies in its ability to capture the essence of the journey. Each chapter is brimming with excitement, as the group faces unforeseen obstacles and tackles them head-on. It’s almost as if a friend is recounting their experiences, making the reading experience even more enjoyable.

I particularly relished reading about the group of friends chilling and having a great time together. With every milestone they achieve and the joy they experience upon reaching their destination, we share in their victories. Sarthak’s simple yet engaging writing style keeps us intrigued about their journey, making us eager to discover what lies ahead.

No journey is without its bumps on the road, and this one was no exception. As expected, their journey was far from smooth, mirroring the unpredictable nature of the road itself. The final few chapters, where Sarthak has to return early, add a touch of excitement to the story. While the climax felt a bit rushed, it was still a delightful read.

What resonated with me most about this book was Sarthak’s determination to undertake this journey and see it through till the end (without revealing any spoilers). His leadership and ability to handle challenging situations were truly inspiring. To make the book more personal and relatable, Sarthak shares photographs and memories of the trip. This thoughtful touch adds a layer of connection between the readers and the story.

In all, ‘The Ride to Rajasthan’ is a light and enjoyable read that you can rely on for a fun-filled escape. Filled with adventure, camaraderie, and unexpected challenges, It’s a light and entertaining read. Whether you are a fan of bike rides or simply enjoy captivating travel tales, this book will leave you with a sense of wanderlust and a smile on your face.
