Dear Blog, I miss you ! – #Blogaberrydazzle

Blogging for me was like an open diary where I poured my thoughts and experiences. Back in 2014, I remember starting blog to share the poems I wrote. Not many knew about the existence of the blog and it still got traffic, until one of my friends discovered my blog.

Blog for me has been a carefree space to express everything I feel, write honest opinions, the unfiltered thoughts. Things started falling in place when I discovered Bookstagram and I started adding Book Reviews and recommendations on my blog. Within a year my blog reached to 30k visits and I felt it was time to grow my baby. That’s when vidhyathakkar.com was Born. I had to start from scratch, from Zero once again. As they say

Grow Through what you go through.
#thursdaythoughts #motivation

With time, this space became more professional and I started adding reviews, writing about blogging, interviews and sometimes poems. The listicles made their way to my blogs along with some fun articles, but what I missed was pouring my heart out. The space that was my escape, felt suffocating with monotonous posts. That’s when I felt like breaking the chain and adding new things.

I remember, back then, blogging was all new, and people were fascinated if we tell them we are bloggers. The time when we strived to add our thoughts and not to get reach or views or comments. Blogging back then was a space full of love and expression. I remember, learning new things to make my blog better, reaching out to people, every milestone was celebrated.

I miss my blog, my baby to whom I would express. The sunshine posts, the blogging tricks, the poems and a lot more. Dear Blog, I miss you, and I promise to be more active in sharing my thoughts with you.

With time, you have grown and so am I with new things we learned, the experiments we witnessed. The thing that remained constant, will remain constant is my love for you. We will grow together, learn new things together. We have been noticed, we made it to the Top list dear blog, and I would say, all thanks to you because If you hadn’t happened, I wouldn’t have reached here. The milestones we achieve are not only mine. I share every single milestone with you.

My blog helped me grow as a person. Blogging taught me to have Patience, to be consistent and to always step out of my comfort zone. From Writing on various topics to meeting and bonding with amazing people, this journey has been an exciting one.

I promise dear blog, to bring that old spark back with the new twists, of course, I promise to be more candid and share all my thoughts and poems here, Just like I did before. Dear Blog, it feels so good to write this to you, the guilt of not expressing my thought was killing me and now I feel light and happy.

Great to see you branched out. But yes you must continue to blog if it gives you joy. I too use my blog mainly to put my thoughts. In many instances i dont even look for traffic growth to my site except to connect with like minded bloggers. Very rarely do these contain reviews of books or products. My website itself handles my other work.

I can relate to this so much. I also started my blog as an alternative to diary/journal. Then slowly for the last 4-5 years I lost connection with it. But thanks to this blogging challenge that I have got back my enthusiasm in blogging once again.
