Anand Krishna Panicker weaves a brilliant adventurous story of friendship, mystery, and finding the truth. It’s the story of Bako and Konrad who share a unique bond. There are two parallel stories here, one of Bako and his journey in the school and the other of Konrad who is trying to decode the postcard he got when he found Bako. Mysterious events take place and suddenly everything comes to number 43. What does it mean?

With an intriguing plot and crisp descriptive narrative, I liked how Anand keeps the element of curiosity throughout, making the readers curious, and guessing what can happen next. His writing style is simple and engrossing, keeping the readers invested in. One could relate to Bako’s situations and the phases he goes through, and one could relate to Konrad’s efforts too. Though I enjoyed reading Bako’s part more than Konrad’s.

It’s a smooth-paced story with too many events happening, making it a bit heavy read. The characters are well-sketched by the author. Bako’s character shines throughout. Loved the way the events took place, with many unexpected twists and actions. The last few chapters are truly exciting with an eventful climax.

Overall, it’s an enthralling read that you will love if you love thrilling mysteries.
