It’s been a while since I read short stories. With a week full of heavy reads, I needed to read something light and entertaining and that’s when this book came to my rescue.

Book 67 of 2023 is a light, quick read I enjoyed on a sunny afternoon.

“Twelve Tinglers” by T.M. Vasant is an intriguing collection of 12 short stories that revolve around the themes of love, loss, crime, and revenge. With an interesting plot and gripping narrative, the stories are captivating and to the point. Each of them is unique, packed with drama and entertainment that will keep readers engaged throughout.

The stories are crisp, and intriguing with opening endings with an element of suspense throughout the stories making readers curious about what will happen next. The author has done a great job of curating these stories, ensuring that they are deep, detailed, and interesting. The characters are well-developed, and readers can easily relate to their journeys and the way they protect themselves. Some stories are unpredictable with unexpected twists.

The writing style of the author is engaging and to the point, making it a quick and easy read. The stories are of good length, quick, fast-paced, and entertaining. I liked how each story is different from the others, Right from the title of each story, the author makes it interesting, taking the readers into the lives of the characters and how tangled their lives are.

Some stories share about how unpredictable life can be and how we can’t always follow the rules. Some stories share about how we need to cut off people before they mess with our lives. There are stories of love, hope, hate, hidden motives, and about tangled relationships too.

Overall, “Twelve Tinglers” is a short read of 92 pages with some brilliant stories that readers can definitely count on. If you like reading unique and gripping short stories this is surely the one.

I particularly enjoyed reading Residual, Strike Back, Unalterable, Real Reel, and Legacies. These stories are really exciting, especially the real reel one. Loved every bit of that story.

I loved the way the author plays with the words and keeps the story concise yet fulfilling.
