Reviews

Sometimes you want to share about the book immediately after you read it so that you don’t miss any of your thoughts. Something similar happened with me when it comes to this book.

•Take control of your life. You can do anything. Be the master of your Destiny. Don’t let anyone decide anything for you.•

A dark, dense read with a combination of prose and poems that will startle you. Yes, @vikrant.kelkar.568 Vikrant Kelkar’s Milk Memories is a collection of short stories and poems that are supernatural, and apocalyptic with dark themes.

Some incidents in childhood stay with us forever, here you will find a glimpse of them. Each poem, each story is brilliantly written and the way he adds a touch of humour is something I loved the most. This book needs your utmost attention and you must not skip a beat here. Read between lines and you witness the tragic situations.

Like there’s a bright and darker side of everything, here too Vikrant shares a darker side of the human soul. Each poem, each story is a surprise for the readers, something that we never see it coming.

It’s a fast paced read with a rich, gripping writing style that adds to the reading experience. The way the book proceeds, with each chapter it gets more interesting. The two plays that the author added, have traumatic experiences and the last two stories are mind-blowing.

While he shares about complicated relationships, he manages to keep it a little light with humour and love that will bring a smile on your face.

You will feel a bit heavy but will smile and witness the change of emotion with every page you turn. The way he vividly portrayed the emotions is commendable. It’s a completely different and unique read that I have come across and I am glad I found this book.

I loved Pistol Pete’s Big day story the most. It has plays, stories, poems everything and the varied themes made it unbelievable.

It’s a spine-chilling read that you cannot miss if you love reading supernatural, dark poems and stories. A must-read book.

Summary

Collected Works of an Enfant Terrible. Low-lifers, knights and decorated officers are all part of the book that I have written. All of them are wayward and somehow seeking a reprieve. It chronicles the new millennium and its challenges. Some stories are supernatural and some are apocalyptic. It has a bit of everything for all kinds of people. Humorous, dark and grotesque are just some of the themes. It brings out the darkness of the human soul.
