 ▶️Are you a fan of sci-fi stories?

Right from the title, Impossible Tales captured my attention as it made me think about what the stories would be.  My Book 104 of 2023 is truly an interesting read filled with unique and captivating tales. Impossible Tales by V.S. Sury takes readers on a fascinating journey through 17 unique stories that blend fantasy, science, nature, and emotions. The stories are fascinating, each of them with compelling plots and vivid descriptions.  With gripping narratives, the stories are thought-provoking, making us think about the Magic of nature. You will come across astounding facts, and witness what happens when nature gets candid and starts intimating humans.

The author’s writing style is engrossing and he tries to keep it candid and light for the readers with a tinge of laughter. The author’s ability to blend scientific ideas with imaginative storytelling is commendable. While every story is brilliantly crafted, it takes some time for readers to establish a connection with them. At certain points, the narrative becomes a bit muffled and confusing, making it challenging to relate to the overall story.

One of the highlights of Impossible Tales is Sury’s skillful portrayal of the intricate relationship between humans and Nature. He eloquently explores how human activities can impact nature and the repercussions that follow. The author’s vivid imagination shines through as he depicts Mother Nature’s teasing and testing humans, leaving readers captivated by the experiments and revelations that unfold.

The story “Nature’s Experiments”  (One Atom) ponders nature’s creation of a single atom, leaving humans puzzled as to why only one exists. Another story explores how Mother Nature conducts an experiment involving trees and their response to growing horizontally, highlighting the rebellious spirit of the coconut tree (This is one of my favourite parts from the book).

The narrative touches upon topics such as gravity, light, atoms, and the laws of action and reaction. It also delves into the impact of human nature and activities on the environment. Moreover, readers will discover what nature might be like in the year 2070 AD and the consequences of behavioural changes within nature itself. Undoubtedly, these elements contribute to an intriguing reading experience. The author further delves into intriguing subjects such as quantum theory, black holes, greed, and the consequences of excessive desire that often leads to destruction. Truly captivating, isn’t it?

Among the various tales, my favourites are “L for Light” and “T for Time.” While some stories are brief, others are longer, each possessing its own magical essence. These deep and insightful narratives are well-curated. However, I would have enjoyed the book more if it had been better structured. At times, too many details make it feel heavy and overwhelming. Impossible Tales is a challenging and insightful read and is for those with a keen interest in scientific subjects. If you enjoy exploring the realms of science, this book is definitely worth delving into. It is an enriching and worthwhile read.
